It’s actually versatile and could be used in a lot of other cooking methods such as braising, boiling, steaming, poaching, searing, etc. This underrated cookware could do all these which eliminates the use for a frying pan or even a small pot.

When we stir fry purple cabbage (which is rich in vitamin C) and cauliflower (which is rich in vitamin B1) our body is able to absorb these vitamins because of the shorter cooking period.

Woks, because of their structure and even distribution of heat, are used for fast cooking. When using this, you would also not need to use a lot of oil, just a few amounts will do because of the pan’s high retention of heat.

Large Quantity of Food in One Cooking

When you see a wok, the first thing you will notice about it is its size. If you have a big family and you want to prepare your meals the shortest time possible, you have to start using this pan instead of the conventional frying pans because you can cook considerably more food in it. Since it is also deep, it is less likely for you to spill food no matter how large quantity you are cooking. Not only will you save food, you will also lessen the time you need cleaning the kitchen after cooking.

Sturdy And Low Maintenance

Since it is built for cooking large quantity of food, it is sturdy and easy to maintain. Some are even built to last a lifetime. Once you have purchased it and to ensure that you will be able to use it for a long time, you should know that you should not clean it soap. Instead, soak it in boiling water for five minutes to soften and to remove any food that is stuck to it. Hot water and a scrubber sponge is enough to keep it clean.

Before purchasing, you have to know that its bottom could either be round or bottom, to agree with the heat source (gas, glass cooktop, etc.) and that it is made from a variety of materials and come in a variety of sizes and forms.
